"A Heavenly Kingdom & A Heavenward Gift," challenged us on where we place our hope. Jesus confronts the idea that the Messiah is merely an earthly king. Our main takeaway: Jesus is our Heavenly King, and we must surrender all to Him. Don't let earthly kingdoms or desires (like status or money) deceive you. We are called to sacrifice, just like the poor widow who gave her last penny—her gift was worth more than all the rich offerings because her heart was set on God, not this world.
